I would RUN into the room to watch this spot. It’s great. But I would never have scripted it. And I would never have approved it. Are these guys that lucky or that good?
From what I can gather, I think they just go after folks who are prone to do this type of advertising anyway. They just ad an even goofier conceit to the mix and let it fly.
You’re not gonna believe this, but I posted about this EXACT same thing-with no idea you did! I do some stand-up work for a family owned furniture retailer here in Hooterville…so a friend passed it on to me. Another example of “Just because you can doesn’t mean you should.” Creating a buzz….you want good buzz, not one that makes you look like a dumb ass.
Ad Chick – Well, SRP just posted about it claiming “many bloggers” have been talking about it. Obviously, he’s referring to us. And since he didn’t credit us in his post, he owes us jobs.
